"I answered Jesus call for my life, and He changed everything." – Nanamous
Nanamous is a Christian artist who ministers the message of Jesus Christ through music primarily in the gospel reggae genre. He has worked tirelessly with other artist on several projects to bring awareness to the gospel reggae genre. Out of these projects, Atlanta Bless was birthed in Atlanta, GA as a major platform for similar artist in this unique genre that has received little promotion historically. Nanamous travels extensively, ministering throughout the Caribbean, Canada, and the Unites States. His music can be found on all media download platforms.
Born Howard Osbourne in the small community of Tredegar Park on the outskirts of Spanish Town in St. Catherine, Jamaica, Nanamous was surrounded by a rich history of reggae and dancehall musical roots. Influenced by music as a child, he began singing and soon recorded his first song, ‘Bruk It Up’, at the tender age of thirteen. His musical talent was quickly noticed, and he became known as “Little Howie.” Little Howie was regularly on the scene in dancehall events and traveled by stowing on trucks carrying the sound systems from town to town. He was often the youngest at these events and shared the microphone with the likes of deejays Ninjaman, Uglyman, Lyrical, and Yellowman, among others.
After graduating high school at age seventeen, he migrated to the United States and enrolled in college. However, music was still in his D.N.A. and he started recording again with several different producers. This allowed him the opportunity to open shows for Too $hort, The Cash Money Millionaires (Birdman, Mannie Fresh, B.G., Juvenile, Lil Wayne and Turk), and others. Nanamous received his “big break” when he met singer/songwriter/producer Lamar Casey. The two collaborated on a number of songs and mixtapes. This went on for a while until the life changing experience when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. After he got “the calling,” he became more passionate about his gift and set out on a journey championing for Christ. He took on the stage name Nanamous, meaning that as a minister or vessel for Christ it was no longer about him, he was ultimately anonymous. “I answered Jesus’ call for my life, and He changed everything.” - Nanamous
