Gaise Baba (Akinade Ibuoye) is a Nigerian recording and performing Artiste, a Culture Architect and Creative Entrepreneur. An Economics Graduate (BSc) from Obafemi Awolowo University, he holds a diploma in Music Business from the Berklee College of music. With a Recording and Performing career spanning about a decade, he has experienced first-hand the dearth of opportunities, representation and platforms available to Christian artistes and creatives within the entertainment space across Africa. He is creating the solutions that meet this need. He is founder of ARAMANDA – the leading youth-centric Christian Festival in Nigeria. The LightOut High-School Initiative he also founded in 2017 has reached over 11,000 teenage and pre-teen students across Nigerian high schools and colleges.

As a recording artiste, his debut album was released in August 2011 under Sanctified Records, introducing him into the music industry as a conscious artiste with a distinctive style of delivery that cuts across generations. The lead single off the album - ‘follow follow’ was nominated for Best Indigenous Concept at the Nigerian Music Video Awards (2011) and the Africa Entertainment Awards (2012) in Malaysia. Gaise Baba was awarded ‘New Revelation’ at The Scepters 2011 and ‘Best New Artiste’ at the premier edition of Crystal Awards in 2013. In 2015 Gaise Baba got signed to ID Cabasa’s record label - Coded Tunes, getting to work with one of the greatest Nigerian producers since the turn of the new millennium. He has released eleven (11) singles since his debut album but 2020 has seen him return heavily to creating bodies of work; a 5-track EP is due for release in September 2020, to be followed with his sophomore album in the summer of 2021.

He now leads The LightOut Collective – an ensemble of Christian Creatives that include Limoblaze, Angeloh and RepJ360, who perform on the fast-growing LightOut and ARAMANDA Movements.
